    just cut it in half on the seam and keep the good half

    I like jimaust’s idea…… put the good side back in the mold, mark the separation point all around, cut close to the mark and then carefully grind/sand to the joining point. It wouldn’t be easy, but it would be possible. The hardest part of the job would be finding the person who was both competant and willing to invest the time such a chore would entail.
    If it makes you feel any better, I’ve cut and fabricated two left sides of a fuselage (when the hobby-shop was closed and I couldn’t “hide” my mistake from the critical eyes of my spouse). I took a lot of flak for that gaffe…..
