Hey Bob, glad your Dad is doing better, just got back from visiting mine, he also had a heart proceedure, 6 hours on the table.

On the braking chute I noticed you have a flexible piece between the chute and spring, perhaps using rigid piece on top of the spring would help eject the package a little better. Just a thought. It’s looking really great btw.

Had one additional thought on the chute. How about if you attach the end of your platform for the chute to the door so that when the door opens the platform comes up and pops the chute out, no need for springs! I could elaborate a bit more but I think you get the idea.

Hi Bob, here’s another suggestion. If you had a latch to keep the spring “loaded” until the door is fully open it would have the extra momentum to pop the chute up into the slipstream. Just a suggestion. I feel it is an easy simple solution to your problem. Jerry PS. Hi Dad get well and on your feet soon.

It looks like when you open the door, the little air cylinder is really slow. Do you have restrictors in the line? I think if you could have the door open a little faster it would toss the chute out a little better.
Glad to here you father is getting better!!
Any word on a kit cost yet??
